CHOOLHA POOJA / MEHNDI (Thu 8th July)
Mehndi (intricate henna design applied on the hands/feet): Amidst music and often dancing, a 'mehndiwali' is called to paint intricate designs on the hands and feet of the bride with henna paste. Her friends, cousins and other female members also get mehndi designs painted on their hands and feet. They all wear simple clothes.
